AppWorks was started by Jamie in 2010 to give Taiwan a push as it upgrades itself into a 21st-century digital economy and to connect Taiwan with ASEAN to form a collaborative Greater Southeast Asia ecosystem. AppWorks is the region’s leading startup accelerator and early-stage VC. Every 6 months, we invite the most talented AI / IOT, blockchain / crypto and Southeast Asia startups across the region to join AppWorks Accelerator, equipping founders spanning all walks of life with the necessary resources, mentorship, and guidance to get their ventures off the ground. Today, the AppWorks Ecosystem stands stronger than ever, now encompassing 532 active startups and 1,662 founders. Together, AppWorks startups generate US$ 16.2 billion in annual revenues, have created 23,490 jobs and are valued at US$ 32.4 billion. As a VC, AppWorks manages US$ 350M total fund size, funding approximately 20 – 30 deals a year, while having produced 5 IPOs and 4 IEOs to date. AppWorks counts more than 100 companies in its portfolio, including leading startups working on AI, Blockchain, and Southeast Asia such as FLOW/Dapper Labs, Animoca Brands, Carousell, 91APP, KKday.
