I have been working at Concurrent Computer full-time (More than 5 years)
no outsourcing, friendly coworker, CEO and GM care but not shown, senior engineers are very helpful and knowledgeable, relaxed work environment and very easy interview
very-very political, badly written software gets rewarded by becoming "superhero firefighters" when software blows up in the field, promotion from outside, you will go places and in the smart "elite" group if you are young, loud and can do quick google search instead of showing proof of years of producing solid software.
Advice to Management
stop nepotism, stop and listen to senior engineers that has proven track record, try to promote people from within if possible with proven track record and has given a lot to the company.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Concurrent Computer (Duluth, GA).
I attended in career fair at my university's campus. Dropped resume and recruiter called and set up a campus interview. Then, about a week later, I was invited to site interview at Duluth. The Interview process took about 4 hours. Meet the hiring manager, had an face to face interview with the team lead, and 2 other engineers in the group. Most question were very easy or average about C and Java language. Some question about networking program or multi threads.
No, I did not.
