I worked at Distributed Solutions full-time (More than a year)
There are some good people at DSI. The best things about working there are the flex hours and telecommuting possibilities. You can also bring your dog to work and there is a lot of free processed food in the kitchen.
Low pay, well under national and local averages. The flexibility is nice, but you can't pay your bills in Snickers bars.
Advice to Management
Less micromanaging from the CEO. I understand you're trying to be a "flat" and "agile" organization, but you're really not agile, and the flatness in your context is hindrance, not help. You need more middle managers who are going to lead and keep the CEO out of minutiae.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Distributed Solutions.
Interview process was organized. Initial phone interview then face to face interview with a panel of 3. Process was organized. HR was nice. 2 weeks after interview, I followed up and received responses.
