Description Harmony Public Schools is a network of PK-12 college preparatory charter schools across Texas. Established in 1995, George Gervin Academy is a free public charter school that serves students in pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. Students at George Gervin Academy meet or exceed state target scores for student achievement, student progress, closing performance gaps, and postsecondary readiness. We are proud to have earned the accountability rating of “Met Standard,” the highest rating possible!
The Academy’s three campuses include three full-size gymnasiums with a weight room, locker rooms, a snack café, multi-purpose rooms, and a walking track.
The George Gervin Academy is located on three campuses throughout central San Antonio and serves about 900 pre-kindergarten through 12th-grade students.
Our primary aim is to assess and meet the individual needs of the whole person, specifically aimed at the needs of at-risk and disadvantaged youth. We also work with community members to provide affordable housing alternatives for senior citizens, transitional housing and training programs for young adults, and a variety of other community-based efforts.
