Not for people who need constant direction or guidance or dislike change. Metrics and direction is clear but priorities change fast based on client needs. Not a young company but has a start-up feel in that there is still that attitude of hustle and constant change. Company culture allows for productive conflict. so ideas are appreciated but be prepared to pitch and defend them.
Advice to Management
More company wide emails and town halls. They are always inspiring and increasing their frequency is beneficial. Recent introduction of Yammer as an internal communication tool was brilliant. Continue to develop that.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Rimes Technologies (New York, NY) in March 2016.
I interviewed with 5 people back to back (some in pairs). The interview process was not what I expected. Most of the people I met with were younger, and the dialogue was awkward/not very professional. It did not match my expectations from the phone screening or my research.
I had a hard time getting more information about the company from the interview process. I asked one of the interviewers to tell me more about RIMES and the positions responsibilities and she had a hard time explaining it (the job posting is very vague).
The questions were very basic. I was asked the same questions over and over by different people. Many questions were not substantive. Ie. "How many coins could you fit in xxxx". Or "tell me a joke".
Based on the interviews, I'm not sure I want to work here anyway.
