Established in 1960, Rutherford + Chekene (R+C) is one of California’s foremost engineering practices providing structural and geotechnical engineering. R+C’s staff provides cost-effective solutions that address unique project challenges rather than overdesigns. R+C provides new design, advanced structural analysis, seismic evaluations and retrofits, peer review and plan review, and full geotechnical services.

We have a large staff of engineers with expertise in areas ranging from structural system development, to seismic risk evaluation and upgrade, to base isolation.
