Service Credit Union – Why Work For Us?

CU Difference

What sets us apart? Quite simply, Service Credit Union is owned by its members. Combining savings to create a pool of funds from which other members can borrow, the income earned on loans and investments is returned to members in the form of higher savings rates, lower loan rates and additional products and services.

Focused on the credo that we are a cooperative existing solely for the purpose of providing financial services for our members, our mission is to consistently exceed our members service and convenience expectations.

Service Credit Union is operated by professional management under the direction of a volunteer board of directors. And in keeping with the democratic tradition of credit unions, individual members still get a say in how Service Credit Union is run. Members meet once a year to elect a volunteer board of directors from the membership to oversee the credit union's operations.

Credit unions began with 'people helping people' and it's a philosophy we take seriously. Service Credit Union takes a leadership role in partnering with members to provide and donate much needed funds to worldwide and community initiatives.

Mission

As a not-for-profit cooperative financial institution, credit unions elect officials who volunteer their time and talent to serve the credit union.

The Service Credit Union Board and Committee members are nominated from the membership at large, and voted on by the members at the annual meeting. Service Credit Union is proud to have a devoted group of members serving on the Board. They meet no less than once a month and have a commitment to make certain the credit union provides valuable products and services to the membership.

    Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Service Credit Union (Portsmouth, NH) in September 2016.

    Interview

Interview was very easy, The recruiter did a great job communicating with me what the next steps were. She asked generic questions to see where I would fit in the branch level. Manager interview was very relaxing and she just wanted to get to know me.
