Technical Account Manager
Being a woman in tech, I only recently started advocating for myself at work about advancement opportunities. Because of this I wanted to ask this question to my male counterparts. When you have 1:1's with your direct reports and talk about career growth / aspirations what is your managers’ response typically? I’d like to gauge how my experience (negative) differs from others. For instance are you met with blockades, enthusiasm, dread, etc?

ProsLots of opportunity for growth. Great coworkers and environment to be a part of. Office location is wonderful and centralized for activities.
ConsAs a company in the growth phase, lots of process and procedures are being worked out and put in place.
Advice to ManagementBe sure to set expectations and lay out paths forward to incrementally achieve goals. Gather additional input from employees.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SmartFile (Indianapolis, IN)
InterviewContacted by outside recruiter initially. Scheduled an on-site interview. Followed with a second on-site meeting. Both interviews were with multiple people. Mostly one-on-one, but one two-to-one session. Overall time each interview was about 90 minutes.
