I worked at WestWater Research as an intern (More than a year)
-Located in the heart of downtown Boise -Nice modern office -Helpful and friendly coworkers.
-Miscommunication at higher management is reflected in tasks assigned: often vague, unrealistic, and/or misguided. Confusion and frustration upon arrival of new tasks to be expected. -Turnover rate so high it is affecting training, organization, and performance of the firm as a whole. -Unrealistic goals and lack of training often creates resentment. Previous knowledge and experience required due to poor training and lack of guidance. Requests for clarification only increases friction in instances where it clearly shouldn't. -Sincerely good and helpful people often leave the company for better opportunities, creating an unstable work atmosphere. -No room for career development.
Advice to Management
-Incentivize employees to stay and help build the company to address high turnover rate. -Hire an experienced HR Manager who can interact, communicate, and train all employees properly. -Expand company to reflect industry growth.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at WestWater Research (Boise, ID) in September 2012.
I had one interview at his home, one at the office. The negotiations were performed over the phone.
