When we set out to build Bear Mattress, we looked inward to what we would want in a good night's sleep. As marathon runners, tough mudder competitors and crossfit enthusiasts, we needed to make sure we just didn't sleep comfortable, but our bodies performed while we slept. The end result is the product we now offer consumers - the BEAR Mattress.
We founded Bear Mattress in 2014 because our team has a long family history in the mattress business, and we could clearly see all the problems: too expensive, too confusing, too old school, too time consuming and many more. So we decided to take action and build a different type of company. We crafted a high-quality mattress that we could offer at great value and people could test out in their home. While we aren't the first with this business model, we think our mattress and approach is amazingly different. Our focus is on being an active lifestyle brand that promotes performance sleep, distinguishing us from other "mattress companies” and allowing us to offer a unique value proposition to our customers.
