VIA Health Partners is a 501 (c) 3 charitable non-profit.​ VIA Health Partners, established as Hospice at Charlotte, was first incorporated on March 8, 1978, the first hospice in North Carolina.​ Hospice at Charlotte was the second hospice in the state to serve a hospice patient on November 15, 1979.​ HPCCR was the first hospice in the state to become Medicare certified on October 21, 1984. Today VIA Health Partners is the largest independent, free standing, non-profit hospice in the Carolinas.

Medical Services of America, Inc. (MSA) was founded in 1973 and has grown to become one of the nation’s leading privately-owned home healthcare providers. MSA began with a unique concept to become a “Total Home Health Care Provider” and the company’s expansion has been guided with that concept in mind.
