Mission Our Vision Working together so our communities are the healthiest in America.
Our Mission MaineHealth is a not-for-profit health system dedicated to improving the health of our patients and communities by providing high-quality affordable care, educating tomorrow's caregivers, and researching better ways to provide care.
Description Committed to being the trusted source for quality care – and careers.
At MaineHealth, exceptional people using the latest in advanced innovations help ensure that our northern New England communities are the healthiest they can be. From a full array of telehealth programs to the most sophisticated electronic medical records system, our clinical technology is second to none. But it’s our people who bring these medical advancements to life as they change the lives of the people in the communities we’re proud to serve.
As a non-profit family of high-quality healthcare providers, we’re working together to create strong, vibrant and healthy partnerships. We are an integrated healthcare delivery system made up of the state’s only academic medical center (and largest hospital), a large bio-medical research center, community hospitals, home care agencies, physician practices, an outpatient lab, and diagnostic and surgery centers. In addition to our clinical opportunities, MaineHealth also offers a variety of fulfilling careers in finance, human resources, information services, marketing, support services, and more!
The MaineHealth family of hospitals and healthcare organizations offers outstanding opportunities to work and live in one of the most spectacular areas of our nation. Our ongoing growth and focus on compassionate care mean a choice of challenging and rewarding career opportunities throughout our system – from mid-sized cities and small towns in the mountains to beautiful coastal communities.

From our beginnings as a single assisted living community in 1986 to our current 26 programs around southern, central, and coastal Maine, New Communities has grown in depth and breadth of services for seniors, people with mental health challenges, and individuals with intellectual disabilities who need support in daily living and want to participate as fully as possible in every facet of their lives.
New Communities is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing exceptional care at our assisted living facilities and group homes. Named one of the 2024 Best Places to Work in Maine, we take pride in supporting our employees just as much as we support our residents.
At FMI, our New England manufacturing facilities have been a leading solutions provider of high-temperature materials and composites for more than 50 years, serving the Department of Defense and NASA. The focus in Biddeford, Maine is on multidirectional reinforced Carbon/Carbon (C/C) and Ceramic Matrix Composites (CMCs) that enable high-temperature components such as: thermal protection systems, re-entry vehicle nose tips as well as rocket motor throats and nozzles. Our Woonsocket, Rhode Island facility is focused on textile engineering and manufacturing of 2D woven fabrics, 3D woven preforms and fiber reinforced composites. We work with the stiffest, strongest, and lightest fibers in the world including carbon, glass, aramid (Kevlar) and ceramic.
Our materials are being used on ground-breaking space initiatives such as the Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle and the heat shield for NASA’s Mars 2020 mission, important missile programs, airfoils in commercial and military jet engines, and as lightweight armor for U.S. military ground vehicles.
