DHG Management Company (doing business as Denihan Hospitality Group) has an affinity for luxury accommodations. The company develops and manages boutique luxury hotels in urban markets. DHG properties operate under brands such as Affinia Hotels and The James. Its portfolio includes about a dozen properties located in New York (throughout Manhattan), Chicago (near the Magnificent Mile), and Washington, DC (on Capitol Hill). DHG Management also owns independent New York hotels The Benjamin (in Midtown) and The Surrey Hotel (Upper East Side). Benjamin "Bud" Denihan, Sr. founded the company's first hotel, Lyden Gardens, in 1962, and members of the Denihan family still own and operate a majority of the company.
