Back in 2016 after months of extensive market research, we found that experience and homogeneity within the current outsourcing industry lead to outdated, narrow outcomes. For startups and SMEs, traditional outsourcing doesn't account for engaging work culture, effective collaboration, and goals alignment. The rise of the gig economy addressed fundamental issues faced by the market, however it opened up a whole new suite of new challenges. The drawbacks for workers in the gig economy include: no benefits, high personal expenses, no income security, and added stress / no fallback team. The drawbacks for customers of the gig economy include: less reliable workers, variable work outputs, and high regulations. This is where we found our opportunity.
