Description CBA is the first behavioral therapy agency within the Commonwealth of Kentucky to provide community-based Behavior Support Services, consistent with the core principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). We are one of the largest employers of ABA professionals in this region of the country. CBA created the first BACB compliant fieldwork program & employed the first qualified BCBA(s) in Louisville Metro, KY, beginning in year 2000. In 2006, CBA expanded services to San Antonio and Austin, Texas; opening the first Verbal Behavior/Speech Clinic in Bexar County/South Texas and partnering with The Autism Treatment Centers in Dallas & SanAntonio, TX. In 2008, the owners had a daughter born with Lissencephaly. One of the rarest brain malformations and one of the most severe developmental disabilities known today. Their parenting experience as trained teachers & behavior analysts helped further develop a caretaker/parent friendly clinical model. A model of service delivery that’s amenable to multiple home and community-based settings. Caretaker, parent coaching & training became a paramount focus of their mission. Clinical service models that consider the caretaker/parental circumstance are critical when working with families. Research suggests that when caretakers are more involved with planning, assessment & intervention… the outcomes are simply much better! Currently, CBA has multiple center-based clinics and a plethora of available community-based services available to the public. Their motivations are as personal as they are professional and it shows through their work, mission, core values and vision for the impact they work to have on their communities. It’s important to them, that families receive the highest available services possible. Our mission & core values were designed collaboratively with the families, clients, partners and employees whom we've be fortunate to work beside for more than two decades. Individuals who know who we are, what we represent and have experienced our services participated in a re-branding in 2017. We used a third party to collect non-biased survey data and that information helped develop our current mission and core values today. We believe it’s crucial to include our community in everything we do! We emphasize each individual's dignity and respect through our service model, policies and or everyone including students, learners, collaborative agencies, vendors, parents, employees and the provider community. Our mission represents our philosophy to provide human services for individuals regardless of label, diagnosis, age, “Challenging behavior” or individual characteristic. Our mission is designed to help improve our local, regional and national communities.

*** CBA is in-network with many collaborators with specialization in ABA (intensive and focused models), Positive Behavior Supports, Community Living Supports, Counseling, Assessment and Treatment of Severe Behavior Disorders and more... for individuals disgnosed with Autism, Acquired Brain Injuries and Intellectual mor Pervasive Developmental Disabilities.
