Description Skidmore College offers more than sixty degree programs, including majors in both traditional liberal arts disciplines and preprofessional areas. The college grants bachelor's and master's degrees in the sciences, humanities, social sciences, business, education, social work, and the arts. Skidmore enrolls some 2,200 students and was founded by Lucy Skidmore Scribner in 1903 as the Young Women's Industrial Club of Saratoga.
