Hello, we’re Mojang Studios!We’re best known as the creators of Minecraft, but
we’re also on a mission: to build a better world through the power of play.
We make games, products, and services that inspire creativity, promote inclusion,
and facilitate education. We put our community first in everything we do – whether
they’re meticulous builders, brave warriors, eager learners, or passionate creators.
Our favorite thing about Minecraft is that it’s truly for everyone.
We started as a tiny indie studio in Stockholm, and today we’re part of Xbox Game
Studios, with head offices in Stockholm and Redmond. Within the Minecraft
franchise, we are currently working on new games, a movie, live events, and lots
more.
Our modern yet cozy Stockholm studio is situated right by the water in the city center
on Söder Mälarstrand, and in Redmond we recently moved into brand new offices at
the heart of the Microsoft campus. These spaces are where we come together to
exchange ideas and bring them to life, hang out after hours, and celebrate our wins.
Our studios offer the collaborative spaces required to create world-class
entertainment, but our teams also have the flexibility to choose when they want to
work remotely and dial into the meeting rooms instead.
But in the end, it’s the people of Mojang Studios that make this place truly special.
