The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) is a Washington, D.C.-based 501c3 nonprofit committed to transforming the way buildings and communities are designed, built and operated, enabling an environmentally and socially responsible, healthy, and prosperous environment that improves the quality of life for all.
USGBC works toward its mission of market transformation through its LEED green building certification program, robust educational offerings, a nationwide network of local community representation, the Greenbuild International Conference & Expo event platform, and advocacy in support of public policy that encourages and enables green buildings and communities.
With a vision of green buildings for all within a generation, USGBC employs subject matter and tactical experts across disciplines including the building sciences, education content development, grassroots advocacy, community advancement, communications and marketing, event planning, business development and more.
