Mission Calvary is the leader in care for people needing palliative and end-of-life care. We provide loving, compassionate, expert care that relieves suffering and improves quality of life through a wide range of inpatient
and outpatient services delivered in hospital, hospice, nursing, and at-home settings. We call it CalvaryCare ® – a 122-year tradition of love and caring for the medical, emotional, and spiritual needs of adult patients with advanced cancer and other life-limiting illnesses, and their families. Our core values are compassion, caring, commitment, dignity, and non-abandonment.
Description Calvary is the only fully-accredited acute care specialty hospital in the country devoted to the palliative care of adults with advanced cancer and other life-limiting diseases. We care for more than 6,000 patients and their families every year within our hospitals and through our Calvary@Home services.
We provide inpatient care at our 200-bed hospital in the Bronx and our 25-bed campus at NYU Langone Hospital Brooklyn. Calvary@Home also provides short-term inpatient care at the Dawn Greene Hospice at Mary Manning Walsh Home in Manhattan and Ozanam Hall of Queens Nursing Home. In addition, Calvary@Home cares for hundreds of people in their own homes throughout the Greater New York area every day.
