The health care provider serves the residents of northern Texas through two hospitals that combined have some 500 beds. Specialized services include emergency medicine, cardiac care, diagnostic imaging, surgery, obstetrics, and pediatrics. The health care system also offers cancer treatment, childbirth, wound care, and sleep diagnostic centers. It is the only comprehensive cardiac care facility and only Level III trauma center in the region. URHCS operates a Care Flight Helicopter to get those traumas to care quicker.
