Northern Nevada Health System is a regional multi-facility system that has excelled at offering quality care to residents of the greater Truckee Meadows. Northern Nevada Medical Center—a 124-bed acute care hospital in Sparks, is our flagship provider and includes its ER at McCarran NW, the ER at Spanish Springs,the ER at Damonte Ranch, and the ER at North Valleys; as well as the new Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center – along with a second hospital, Sierra Medical Center, the first full-service hospital built in the region in over a century which opened April 2022, Northern Nevada Medical Group, and Quail Surgical Center.
