One of the largest operators of kidney dialysis centers in the country, Renal Advantage Inc. (RAI) has the upper hand when it comes to renal care. RAI operates more than 150 freestanding outpatient clinics located in about 20 states, including California, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, and Virginia. The company operates some of its facilities through partnerships with physician practices. RAI also offers home dialysis services, and it provides renal-related laboratory services through its RenaLab subsidiary. The company merged with private dialysis provider Liberty Dialysis in 2010, and in 2011 RAI and Liberty Dialysis agreed to be acquired by Fresenius Medical Care.
