ITEX provides a business-to-business payment system for corporate members through a licensed broker network across the US and Canada. In lieu of cash, some 24,000 member businesses of the company's ITEX Marketplace barter time-sensitive, slow-moving, or surplus goods and services valued in ITEX dollars. Members represent a variety of industries including advertising, construction, dining, health care, hospitality, media, printing, and professional services. ITEX administers the trade exchange; it (or any of its 95 franchisees or licensed brokers) also acts as a record keeper for member transactions.
