Mission Bedrock’s leadership understands what it means to be hell-bent on doing things the right way. Our founders decided early that Bedrock needed to be a Public Benefit Corporation, meaning that we are required by law to work on making the world a better place. We also work exclusively with offshore renewables, and our vehicles are 100% electric, with no impact to marine life.
Bedrock has the right people, with the right product, at the right time to scale ocean exploration, while infusing the entire operation with all the benefits of a culture that protects quality of life, the human spirit, and everything that makes this worth fighting for. Now we need more people bonded with us in the fight.

Description Together at Bedrock we’re on a mission to give humankind a fighting shot. We need to understand our oceans. Now.
The ocean covers over 70% of our planet—we need the sea to survive—but despite its importance it’s believed that less than 20% has been mapped at least at a 100m resolution. At that resolution, you'd miss huge valleys, bombs, and almost all of the detail needed to make practical decisions.
We need a clear picture of our seafloor to drive species-saving climate change. Bedrock is doing this by developing robotics & software to explore, map, and classify the entirety of Earth's ocean floor. Our hope is to provide critical subsea data and infrastructure to further understand and predict the fundamental forces that support harmonious human existence on this planet.
