Activant's software automates functions such as inventory management, parts selection, general accounting, and point-of-sale analysis. Customers include members of the Ace Hardware and True Value cooperatives, and CF Supply. In 2011 Apax Partners bought Activant Solutions and combined it with another acquisition, Epicor Software.
