    Pros

    Great equipment, loyal following.

    Cons

Owned by venture capitol company which keeps taking money out of the business instead of re-investing.

    Advice to Management

Get someone who knows the industry to run the company.

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at ARC Machines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Family-like atmosphere. No politics. New leadership has brought much needed changes to the organization. Hiring and promoting talented people and moving some of the bad apples who were hurting the work culture out. Great stable customer base. AWESOME facility - don't let the Pacoima address fool you. It doesn't feel like Pacoima. The building is spacious, comfortable and safely tucked away in the hills above the local municipal airport.

    Cons

Many internal processes are SERIOUSLY outdated. Hey Arc, the 1980s called, they want their processes back! Ok, maybe that's an exaggeration, but there are so many opportunities to modernize the way we do things around here...its good to see that new leadership recognizes this and is making the needed changes. I just wish they would move a little faster with them! Need to get in your car to find good places to eat - wish something was walkable.

    Advice to Management

You're focused on the right things. Please keep doing what you're doing and don't let the haters influence your approach. Eventually they'll see the light (or they will leave and we'll all be better off!)

I worked at ARC Machines part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexibility with hours. Great co-workers. Nice offices for a manufacturing facility. Easy commute as train station is nearby. Good benefits - Kaiser Permanente benefits were 100% paid by AMI for single employees with a small payroll deduction for spouse or children Company paid $50,000 Life insurance benefits. Had a Safe Harbor 401(k) so all employees received a generous 3% contribution without having any payroll deductions.

    Cons

Many management changes. Low pay. High turnover.

I worked at ARC Machines part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This was a full place to work. The people are nice.

    Cons

It was great until the owners sold their interest to Marwit Capital. Then things started going downhill. I haven't worked there in a few years but know people who still do. Form what I have heard moral is now at an all time low.

    Pros

    Any more....non
Arc used to be managed by people that cared about their customers, the client, and their employees. No more. They laid off/fired the management and people that had the knowledge to pull the company through. Bring back Lloyde (engineering), Jerry (quality), Steve (Materials/Purchasing) and keep Craig to run the shop. Then get people that know welding to fix and market the product. The company has lots of fences (client relations) to mend.

    Cons

Current management. Find people that know the product and will work with the clients.

    Advice to Management

Go get your old good people back

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at ARC Machines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay was good and benefits great, at first a really good job, decent management and inside staff that was very helpful.

    Cons

From the first day, lack of training on all facets of the business, next equipment and parts not only overpriced but under stocked as well. Company is in serious financial trouble and has no management or direction. People get let go and there is no communication of it. Head of HR leaves and nothing is ever said and you find out thru the grape vine weeks later. Outside sales leadership in none existent. Company is circling the hole just hasn't been flushed.

    Advice to Management

Hopefully you can sell to some company that has ability to turn around.

I worked at ARC Machines full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

non anymore, at one point it was great place to work, but that is long gone.

    Cons

Quality control is a big problem. There are no internal controls. There are no knowledgeable welders left. All management is new to the industry. The process of learning the industry is making the company go under. After so many years of being in business it just took one inexperienced venture capitalist to run it down. It's best to stay away now. As you can see by the other reviews this is nothing new.

    Advice to Management

I can't recommend anything to management because they don't listen anyway.
