    I worked at AVX full-time

    Pros

Pay was good. Office is pretty quite. Commute was short and not much traffic.

    Cons

Very unorganized. Worked for a few months before getting my orientation. Took awhile to learn basic things around the office. Never introduced to anyone other than my boss. Not great communication. Most people weren't too friendly. Months before I even got a desk/office.

I worked at AVX full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

AVX has a very dedicated and hard working staff. In addition, AVX has a very intelligent staff, where most of the management team care about their staff and want to see them succeed. Most of the managers treat people with dignity and respect; and, foster a positive work environment that creates growth opportunities, which benefit AVX.

    Cons

The cons would be introverted/narcissistic managers at AVX who only care about their own success and careers, which are hurting the company and causing a lot of turnover. In addition, managers at AVX who like to micro-manage, talk-down and disrespect their employees. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work in the Credit Department at AVX - STAY AWAY. Introverted/Narcissistic managers are the reasons why AVX gets such low company ratings. I would have given AVX "4" stars, but chose to give "2" stars due to the previously mentioned reasons.

    Advice to Management

Get rid of introverted/narcissistic managers who is hurting AVX. Benchmark pay to the market to make salaries more competitive.

    Pros

    Coworkers and location are great

    Cons

No training, lack of direction. Not really sure what you are supposed to be doing.

    Advice to Management

Give new hires training on the products so they can succeed.
