I worked at Acro full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Only really good thing about this company is your paid weekly

    Cons

Your still just a number! No holiday pay, no on site checkups of work environment

    Advice to Management

Should check to see how people are doing in their jobs, hear their concerns

I worked at Acro full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Some of the people I got to meet while working here were the only positives about this job.

    Cons

I refer to this former job as "THEE job from H*E*L*L!" I would give it negative stars if I could. Management is unprofessional, childlike and lazy (this was at the local level - 1 in particular from the battle Creek area). Corporate doesn't help the local offices much in terms of support through IT. They ask for concerns and never act on them. If you voice your opinion, even in a professional manner, your "position is eliminated". RUN as fast as you can from here! 16, 17 and even 18 hour days, (almost daily) being salaried, averaging out to less than minimum wage, while management complains about putting an 10 hour day once a week..I could go on and on about the negative qualities here.

I have been working at Acro (More than a year)

    Pros

Friendly Staff, Anytime there is a problem, if there is a problem, they waste no time correcting it.

Great Pay, had several offers from different companies but Acro offered much more than anyone else for the exact same position. Originally I was against contracting, But these guys make contracting worth while. Other companies out there are really not worth it. I took a chance, moving from a full time secure federal positions. No regrets.

    Cons

Not too many cons, enjoyed my time.. I can say that you don't speak to them much after hire but they have taken steps to better themselves in that department over the last few months. I get monthly touch bases now and calls just to make sure everything is going well.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing. I've worked with other contracting agencies and there are some really crap companies out there. You guys are great.

    Pros

    Fast interview and selection.
    Fair compsensation

    Cons

    No paid time off
Recruiters call you even when you are already placed by them. Constantly. Like 3-5 times a week.

    Advice to Management

Offer paid time off after so many hours of work for contractors. A small token of appreciation goes a long way and impresses clients too

    Pros

They were always quick to get back to you via email or phone which was always nice when I had an urgent question.

    Cons

Inconsistent answers to questions I had when I first started working there. It was also very hard to understand some of the people I had to talk to over the phone.

I worked at Acro full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Am not there anymore and could not be happier on a personal and professional level.

    Cons

Employees asked to right positive reviews. Employees told to vote for Acro as "The Best and Brightest..." awards. There is zero dispute (although HR will try to debate this in their response to this review) that their systems are extremely outdated AND payroll department has extremely limited experience with light industrial staffing...which is why temps are constantly upset over pay mistakes, and clients are upset over inaccurate and timely invoicing. Field recruiters are paid FAR below industry standard and there are zero opportunities for additional comp. Field management are promised bonuses that are either 9 months late or not given at all. Executive team is only interested in winning minority spend opportunities and developing software that can take over the VMS world. ABSOLUTELY zero investment in their people OR systems. No attempt to rebuke this review can, in complete honesty, say this review is not accurate. Anything else is a complete falsification of the facts.

    Advice to Management

You are unethical and have very little talent to lead anything other than what you have. These are people that you employee, and companies that you attempt to service. Learn how to do both...ethically AND with some sense of knowledge.

    Pros

Telecommuting, flexibility and middle management were all positives.

    Cons

Family run business, children in positions that they are no where near equipped for. Have no "outside" of Acro experience/skills in sales, business and business management. No vision or tolerance towards differing opinions. Discipline doled out publicly, angrily and at times without foundation.

    Pros

They get contracts to fill, but thats the most they service their employees

    Cons

Fail to properly account for their employees money, I was a highly paid employee that got $300 pay checks, due to thier louse accounting practices, Because of this i had to find a new employer, ACRO remember your product is your employees, if you treat them bad then your product sucks.
