I have been working at Adaptive Computing full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Being a small company that allows your work to show an immediate impact is a definite plus here at Adaptive. Products are more solid and innovative than ever. Large customer base. New products released in 2015 and early 2016 than were released in previous 5 years alone. Open door to the CEO fosters a more collaborative workplace

    Cons

Very small marketing team and budget. Huge workload for a very lean organization.

    Advice to Management

Need to leverage that large customer base. Need more products that can span beyond traditional HPC sites. Time now to spend more focus on marketing.

I have been working at Adaptive Computing full-time

    Pros

Adaptive has been a great company for a long time with a great culture and a great track record. We got hit with a challenging CEO for a time but it is so nice to have a new CEO and be back on track with happy customers and great innovation. Hard to find a technology space as impactful and interesting as this one... every day has something new. Lots of good people and the great culture is coming back!

    Cons

We have to make up for a number of missteps under the former CEO... But its happening!

    Pros

The management team shows that they care about each employee through daily interactions, listening to innovative ideas and putting those ideas into action to ensure that we are always moving forward and improving. The camaraderie is evident throughout the entire work environment.

    Cons

Could use a few more employees to assist in balancing the workload for some of the developers and engineers.

I have been working at Adaptive Computing full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There are interesting problems to solve, the company has some great technology, and everyone in the engineering group is very smart. The flexible hours are great and the benefits are decent. Customers are using the software to do some amazing things.

    Cons

Recent missteps by leadership have really hurt the company financially and damaged morale. Lots of good people were let go with very little to soften their landing, and soon afterward many others left of their own accord. It's a bare-bones team that is left, but the company seems unwilling to backfill critical positions.

    Advice to Management

Employee morale is fragile. Invest in your greatest assets: your employees and your technology.

    Pros

Supportive, and increasingly collaborative group. Free snack room, attentive CEO.

    Cons

It would be good to have more of the plan written down.

    Advice to Management

Keep investing in your employees, customers and partners.

    Pros

Great people and products. Fun while it lasted. Moab is the best product of its kind! Maybe it will survive.

    Cons

They let good people go and then others started leaving quick.

    Advice to Management

Do what is right for customers and employees and then you will be taken care of.
