Poor leadership and terrible communication

Pros

Colleagues were good and supportive. Some engineering work can be exciting at times.

Cons

Vague requirements, constantly changing expectations, and almost no real communication. Updates shared on Slack go unnoticed for days, but later leadership complains about not being informed. The CTO can take days to reply and still blame developers for lack of updates. Work that sits with the CTO or CEO rarely happens on time. The CEO often takes ownership of tasks only to push them back onto someone else in the team right before the deadline. It’s also unclear what HR actually does, because none of these issues ever seem to get addressed.

Pros

Colleagues are very good only bearable thing about the company

Cons

- 59 percent CEO - 41 percent CTO - Micromanagement - Very random and unstructured - Everything depends on the mood of the cto - During appraisal no discussion happens about what hike or appraisal will we get, no room for negotiation

Pros

1)Flexibility with a Side of Accountability: Here’s the deal, flexibility is great, as long as you’re delivering what you’ve committed to. If you drop the ball, expect some consequences. It’s not a big deal, just part of the corporate life. Just be ready to catch up and keep it moving. 2) Career Growth : Job descriptions are not set in stone, your role will evolve and shift as you grow. At first, it might feel like being thrown into the deep end, but in the long run, it’s a great learning experience. You’ll find yourself stepping into new areas, dipping your feet in the unknowns and learning a lot of stuff you didn’t know you were capable of, and yes, it can be unsettling, but helps you grow in the long run from my personal experience. 3] Akrity folks : Team is genuinely supportive. When you need help, someone’s always there to lend a hand, and you get to work with a bunch of fun people, debating Nolan v/s Scorsese and which film industry is better over tea and soon enough, the line between colleagues and friends is as blurry as a shaky cam shot. 4) Constructive (and sometimes tough) Feedback: Buckle up, because feedbacks can be tough and hard to hear, but feedback is for your work and not for the person, and it’s never just feedbacks, you’ll get the support to incorporate and improve. 5) Supportive Founders and HR Team: The founders are committed to what they are doing in their own ways. The HR team’s got your back too, especially if personal stuff comes up, they genuinely care. That being said, you still have to make up for any missed work eventually. It’s a corporate environment and not an NGO so that expectation is fair.

Cons

1) High Expectations : If you’re someone who likes to coast, this may not be the place for you. The bar is set high. You’ll need to stay on top of your game and produce results. If that sounds like too much, better to pass. 2) Role Uncertainty: If you like knowing exactly what you’re doing every single day, the fluidity here might feel a bit overwhelming. Things can shift quickly, and your job might evolve faster than you’d like. It’s part of growing, but can be stressful at times. 3) Tough Love Feedback: Feedback is honest, and sometimes it stings. If you're not used to it, you might have to grow a thicker skin.
