Pros

None. Their is a 20 word minimum in this field. None none none none none none none none none none.

Cons

Possible loss of job. Possible damage to your permanent record. Disgruntled employees due to false results. Law suite with employer for falsely damaging your permanent record and slander. Alertdriving.com is a scam and if your employer uses them they will label you as a high risk and in need of 20 or so modules, and info may go on your permanent record.

Pros

You get free coffee, although it tastes horrible, but the catch is that everyone has to volunteer to clean the kitchen, which includes washing sinks, throwing out mouldy food from the fridge and also windexing the glass doors on a quarterly basis!

Cons

When I was in my management role, I was asked to write positive reviews to offset all the bad ones. This still continues to happen as you see after every negative review, a positive one is posted in rebuttal to the previous post. The positive reviews are lies. There is no flexibility or advancement in career. The only rewarding part about working there was 5:00 when everyone would happily run to the doors. If an investigation was done by a labour board, they will discover that almost 90% of employees were fired without any warning. Either the company really doesn't know how to hire people or leadership gets some sort of pleasure out of dismissals. The leadership has a very bad-temper and loves finding reasons to play the blame game. Managers are expected to treat their employees the same way or else we are called a "Walmart Greeters". Product is pricey, outdated and ineffective. There is no flexibility in time, in fact, doors and badges are monitored on an ongoing basis to ensure no one comes in a minute past the time they’re supposed to start or a minute before 5. I once was asked to tell an employee that they could only go to the washroom between certain times during their work day. Company does not allow you to expense your cell phone bills when you travel but you are expected to be available to reach all around the clock. The CEO is Gerry Martin -not- Ming Poon.

Pros

- Many amazing, talented people have come through this company - Software is used by many companies to save their drivers' lives and lower their insurance costs - Great views from the 8th floor office, very nice trails to walk in immediate area - Good fridge, great coffee

Cons

- There used to be tremendous engineering management, culture, focus, process and work ethic but a re-organization in late 2016 and subsequent layoffs have undone these positives - Build in house model has been replaced with a Buy and integrate model. An aging but effective product line has been replaced a very complex mix of poor or complex products - Most of the great people have either quit or have been fired, there is no technical leadership left - Morale is very low, people are afraid to speak up - There are a number of fake (positive) reviews for this company - Employees are expected to clean the kitchen and entrance doors each Friday - No bonus or profit sharing, 10K life insurance, no vision care, no long term disability, no RRSP, no HR, 3-month waiting period for the medical and dental coverage - 8.5 hours per day at the office for Engineering, 9 hours for Business (with a mandatory 8 AM - 5 PM attendance) - Working remotely is not an option, even in bad weather - You will get scolded for wearing inappropriate footwear or apparel - Ming Poon is listed as the CEO, this is not the case, he actually served as CTO, and did an amazing job until the re-organization took place in late 2016
