I worked at Andis full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Benefits are pretty good. Most people you work with are great. Good learning experience.

    Cons

Middle management is a joke. Some promotions into management are just based on how long the individual has been with the company, and not on their skills and competence.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees with respect, integrity, and excellence.

I worked at Andis (Less than a year)

    Pros

    They offer some good stuff.

    Cons

Management and leads, back up leads weren't friendly at all. Very foul mouth with bad addittude. Not welcoming at all like they said it would be. The training wasn't that great and they expect you to work as fast as them when they worked there for 11+ years. They yell and embarras you in front of other coworkers and treat you like your stupid. They only pay 9per hour and you have to bust your butt off. The line I was on I seen so many people walked before I actually did. They know the issues but doesn't address it with them. The women there are like bullies and act like teenagers.

    Advice to Management

Find better management and leads on the back on L-S line.

I have been working at Andis full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Andis is a hidden gem as an employer. With 500+ employees they have the ability to offer the benefits you expect of a large business but as a private family-owned business you don't have all of the politics that surround many larger businesses. There is a strong 90+ year history of industry leadership but a forward-looking view for continuous improvement. Further with the long ties to the area and continuous growth in hiring the outlook is great for stable employment.

    Cons

There are not really any cons that I can point to. For employees willing to put in the effort there is abundant opportunity.

I worked at Andis full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Andis has a great company culture and good benefits. Steady, consistent hours. Good management that cares about the employees.

    Cons

Not too many bad things to say to about the company- there is some higher turnover in the lower paying jobs.
