    Pros

This company is wonderful and I'm beyond lucky to have been able to work for them for the past 2 years!

    Cons

    More bilateral movement for employees

I worked at Angelo Gordon full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My time at Angelo, Gordon was spent on a number of diverse and interesting projects. Compensation was competitive and appropriate for my time and effort, and benefits are comprehensive.

    Cons

The firm is in long term operational transition across all departments and a cultural change that generally doesn't look good for anyone except senior management and high performing portfolio managers.

I have been working at Angelo Gordon (More than a year)

    Pros

If you know the right people, you can go very, very far, with very little effort. With only a handful of people in the IT department, I entered into a newly created senior position right below the new CIO.

    Cons

None. It's finance. As long as you do exactly what your manager asks without question, you'll get a huge bonus and base salary.

    Pros

nice place and the wood floors look nice

    Cons

no really reason to work for a company that has no values. This place is like putting lipstick on a pig.

I worked at Angelo Gordon full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Awesome fundraising team makes it easy for strategies to focus on putting capital to work. Free lunch is a nice perk. Great reputation in the industry in multiple areas.

    Cons

Diversity is not valued or encouraged. Each strategy operates independently, which gives some measure of autonomy but means switching groups is rare. Culture is very different in each group.

    Advice to Management

Create more avenues for sharing knowledge and talent between groups. Don't let a prior experience in one fund hold back or dictate the terms of another different fund. Seek feedback from lower level employees to identify issues and prevent turnover in certain groups. Encourage more diverse hiring practices.

Nothing major - occasionally a bit tough achieving a solid work/life balance, but that's true in general for finance

    Advice to Management

Make sure to keep company culture intact even as the firm expands into new markets and grows larger
