- Good early career experience in international development - Multicultural environment - English speaking environment in Tokyo - Many opportunities to get published
Cons
- No proper HR support for Research Associates - Exploitative task managers - Problems with stealing authorship - Very low salary - No opportunity for extension of terms

Pros
You get to know trendy issues at the frontline of international development; Very international working environment. Good to use it as a stepping stone for your next career.
Cons
Unlike other INGOs, no tax exemption for RAs. No benefits for housing, medical supports, and transportation. RAs (either Masters or PHD) have to do a lot of administrative works. Lack of career prospect for non-professional staff.
