Initial Interview for Internship
Jan 22, 2023 - Public Health Intern in Clarksville, TNRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Cynthia took the time out of her day to personally call me. Cynthia not only is helping all of us students and interns while running her non-profit, completing her PhD, and focusing on herself through selfcare. Great foundation!
Cons
My only con right now is that this opportunity is only for 6 months.

Excellent company and culture that cares about students!
Nov 26, 2022 - Public Health Student in Seattle, WARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The Assuaged Foundation is one of the top 10 well regarded Public Health internship programs in the country. They are well connected with celebrities, universities, hospitals, and organizations locally and abroad which allows one to network and also have great job prospects upon graduation. The team emphasizes on helping students develop professionally. There are always professional development workshops happening throughout the year, typically hosted virtually by celebrity influencers. The staff members are well versed and they teach interesting topics that are typically about current PH events. Although the group sizes of students can be large, the team make themselves available and are very welcoming. If you have interest in training in a remote environment, look no further because now you can. Assuaged also offer various training certificates through LinkedIn and Hubspot. There are also many job placement opportunities open throughout the year that also help with the job seeking process as well.
Cons
There is some disorganization which is to be expected at any 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. I’ve learned a lot about nonprofits and scarcity of funding. I know the team has prioritize the student experience vs. funding. However, students are given hands on access to sensitive materials and processes allowing us to learn step by step. It takes time to build programs and so understandably, I’m delighted to say that this team continues to evolve with a community of loving and likeminded individuals!

Great internship training and networking
Nov 9, 2022 - PUblic Health LeadRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
There is a critical new part of public health that requires knowledge of social media marketing. This internship will give you all the training you want on some of the hottest new software systems being used out there right now. Schedules are flexible and for me were project based. This made it easier to fit into my schedule and the all virtual work made it possiable for me to graduate on time. The CFO is one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever known and she is passionate about helping others. If your looking for an internship that is flexible, remote with great networking opportunities and positivity this is the company for you.
Cons
No real cons other than for people who may not be up for team work. This company wants to include everyone and works hard to build relationships between students for future networking.

Jul 15, 2022 - Public Health Intern in Savannah, GARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
The owner of the company has direct contact and works alongside the team so you can feel the passion being put into the project. Overall if I had to speak about Assuaged to a potential employee or partner I would say that it's an opportunity that is unmatched elsewhere. The growth and dedication put into the employees, partnerships, and group success is exceptional.
Cons
Time zones make the networking and meetings hard but there is new software and meeting options in order to stay up to date and have opinions and needs heard.

A passionate group of students that teaches real working skills!!
Jan 19, 2022 - Public Health Student in Los Angeles, CARecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
I have been an intern for this company twice, during my junior and senior years. It seems like all of their original students that started back before COVID in 2020 are still here and love the environment. It has been a beneficial learning experience for me to work in the Public Health field ina. remote setting. My team leads have been very helpful. Some of my typical day during the junior year included but was not limited to content curation aligning with SEO practices, coordination, and planning via Slack, Monday, Hubspot. I logged my hours of work via Clockify. I work together with other students to arrange Public Health live discussions via Restream. I explored many areas of the role Public Health Management plays in assisting individuals who are seeking treatment and support. I shadowed high-level executive management and other students. Overall, I LOVED this position.
Cons
No cons, after two years of hard work I found a really good job with a nice pay range.
