I worked at Authenticom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

My co-workers were cool. That's it.

    Cons

Most unstable company I've ever worked for. If you like executive butt kissing and fear tactics, this is the place for you.

    Advice to Management

Quit restructuring and LISTEN to your employees.

    Pros

Great for working with clients and dealers, and building relationships. Great experience with learning databases and file processing

    Cons

There is little to no room for career development and a huge lack of training

    Advice to Management

There needs to be more managing and time for assistance with issues that are escalated

I worked at Authenticom full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Free lunch Friday, casual dress code.

    Cons

Raises and promotions are minimal. They rarely promote from within the company. Smaller company, lots of gossip and cliques.

    Advice to Management

Be more proactive in regards to industry changes and employee morale. The company is very reactive and they only acknowledge issues when they are beyond repair, leaving the company as a whole in a very difficult position. I watched this company spiral down during my 4.5 year tenure.

    Pros

Awesome products, great people, relaxed atmosphere. Overall, the people who work there are great and there is plenty of room for advancement with hard work. Plus you can wear shorts if you want!

    Cons

Still a young company that is working out some organizational kinks. Nothing to worry about, but some people stress about change.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the good work. I thought the management team was great. They give people opportunities to shine and are always willing to teach.

I have been working at Authenticom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Fun, relaxed, and casual environment. Depending on your position, hours are very flexible. Decent PTO, and grows significantly the longer you stay. In general, the employees are relatively young (aprx. 25 - 35 on average). It is a great place to start your career, although be prepared for a lowball offer. Work-life balance is very good, and you typically won't have to work too many overtime hours. Very easy to make friends, and the environment helps make up for the low compensation. I've made some great friends while here.

I would recommend this position to new college grads if you are still living in the area. Hang around for a year, but after that, you can get a pay increase by quite a bit at any other company you are interested in.

    Cons

Extremely low compensation. Nowhere close to market average, and somewhat insulting. But if it is your first professional level job, at least you can put the experience on a resume.

Middle management doesn't listen too well to their employees, are very hesitant about any kind of change. You will notice a constant theme of "well, this is the way we have always done it, so just keep doing it that way." This isn't necessarily always a bad attitude, but has prevented the company from adopting new technologies, and as a result, continue to develop with technology that was popular 7-10 years ago. Things don't get fixed as much as they just receive a band-aid. Management is also very chatty - constant whispers, and if someone doesn't like you, don't expect to be around for awhile.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, and quit being afraid of change. If you can't adapt to the changing market, then you shouldn't be in this role. Be upfront with your employees. Look at wages, and realize how much employees are undervalued. You are incredibly lucky that intelligent individuals are willing to accept such a low compensation, but don't be surprised when they leave a year later.

I have been working at Authenticom full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Casual dress code, free coffee, free lunch every Friday from a local fast food establishment, relaxed workplace, friendly and helpful people, PTO is accrued and usable from day 1

    Cons

Too few managers, high stress load, management seems reactionary and behind-the-curve to marketplace changes instead of being proactive to changes they know are going to happen

    Advice to Management

Management needs to be more proactive when they know wide-spread marketplace changes are going to occur, as opposed to the current waiting game they are used to playing

I worked at Authenticom full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Casual Environment
    Free Lunch Friday
    Flexible schedule for some

    Cons

    -Below average pay
-Management style is to not manage
-Asks for input then "lets you go" if that input is not positive
-little room for advancement outside the customer service department
-Expects employees to follow procedures to a "T" but management is not expected to do the same
    -Constant restructuring
-Advancement has less to do with skills and loyalty and more to do with how much you are liked

    Advice to Management

allow your employees to do their job.

Don't dictate to your employees what they should find rewarding

expect management to actually manage. meeting once a month with your manager is not managing.
