I worked at Behavioral Health Group full-time

    Pros

The patients were rewarding to work with.

    Cons

Management creates hostile work environment. Human resources will not return phone calls. They will terminate your benefits the day after you leave and not give you any documentation. They do not care about employees, only their bottom line.

    Advice to Management

    Treat employees like human beings.

I worked at Behavioral Health Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

You will definitely learn organization and how to operate various aspects of a counseling office. The patients definitely want to be helped, so you can affect change there. There are lots of opportunities to get client hours as well.

    Cons

This may have changed, but they were very disorganized and management was unfeeling as to how the employees felt. They kept pressing a huge work load upon employees, and were at times unkind to patients. Don't expect a raise, or any opportunities for promotion.

    Advice to Management

From what I've heard there is new management, it is my hope this is true.

Good position to get experience in substance abuse and social issues.

    Cons

The leadership is poor and the turnover is high.

    Advice to Management

Please be vigilant that you have to incorporate employee appreciation into your schedule and not just to your favorite but to everyone. If you don’t kiss up then you are not valid at BHG DYERSBURG.

I have been working at Behavioral Health Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

To help people with trying to kick their opiod addiction. Some great people to work with. The hours are wonderful, especially if you have kids in school (the only reason still here). You're pretty much free to do what ever you want

    Cons

Poor management, no raises. Been promised raises hy corporate every year that never comes. Only pays $10 an hour with no advancement opportunities

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees better and quit focusing so much on opening more clinics.

I worked at Behavioral Health Group full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Helping people with opioid addiction get their life back on track and work towards recovery and set goals for themselves. Also, management is great.

    Cons

Poor pay ($14 an hour) for the level of education required. Early hours (5:30 AM) with some Saturdays required.

    Advice to Management

Advice to Corporate is to pay employees more. Turnover for the Counselors wouldn’t be as bad if they made made more with better raises. The turnover causes hardship on the patients because they constantly have to start over woth a new counselor.
