    I worked at Bell full-time

    Pros

Work is great when you do your job people leave you alone. Pay is great and a lot of hard working people. Good people from different back grounds very talented

    Cons

Management is pretty bad they tend to take people who are kiss ups. Make them supervisors if you want to keep your job better picker up those lips, kiss some supervisors behind. 9/80 for the office staff the mechanics are expected to work monday through Saturday. You miss a Saturday you will be ask why??? Rookie Part Specialist who are suppose to help you with any part issue. Non existent they worry more about them they do you. Every one is there for themselves only. Bell has many project, the only one they are banking on right now V-280. Losing contracts to other companies that is the best since Bell is stuck in a rut. I hope they buy the sikorsky prototype. With the V-22 a marine killer I can only imagine what problems the V-280 will have.

    Advice to Management

Hire people with aviation experiance don't hire people who use to be prison guards, hotel workers, oil field workers. Aviation is critical you continue to hire people from small little town, just give them the basic on how to drill and put parts together. With out understanding why they go together and how critical they are. You will always fail on making a good product.

    Pros

Pay is good for the area

    Cons

Way too many to list, get ready to work a ton and the only good part is pay. If you want to move up good luck.

    Advice to Management

Don't allow family members to hire other friends and family.

I worked at Bell full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

World class aerospace company leading the world in vertical lift (VTOL) aircraft technology such as the V-22 Osprey Tiltrotor aircraft for the USAF & USMC; H-1 Helicopter Program’s AH-1Z Cobra Attack Helicopter and UH-1Y Huey Cargo Helicopter and many different commercial helicopters such as the Bell 407 , 409 & 505 Jet Ranger’s, 412 Twin Engine Huey and the Bell 525 Relentless.

    Cons

Once hired into commercial ormilitary side of business it is difficult to move between the two sides.

    Advice to Management

Provide more opportunities to all people in various departments to cross train and/or work for a minimum of one year in a commercial and a military program to gain experience in both sides of the business which would be mutually beneficial to both the employee and company in the long run.

I worked at Bell full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some really good people, honest, hard working, brilliant

    Cons

Some really bad people, heartless, ignorant, self serving and holding the reins

    Advice to Management

I see that Boeing won the contract to replace Huey’s for the Air Force today. Glad to see it. Even your best customers are realizing that you are not the company you once were, and your binge of ruthless decisions are coming back to haunt you. You might think you are innovating on paper, but everyone knows now that you outsource to the lowest bidder for all of your parts, and cut loose your experienced work force for incapable interns. An intern is supposed to learn from mentors, not take over. I hope to see more contracts go to more deserving companies, and this should be a learning moment for Bell, but that would be too much to hope for.
