    Pros

Biogen cares about their employees. They treat you with respect. They have social hour which gives you the chance to meet and mingle with other workmates after work

    Cons

Lot of lay offs. This can't be avoided. That's the only issue I had with Biogen

I worked at Biogen full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The work life balance is great and the financial benefits are incredible.

    Cons

I was very difficult to grow within the company. There were not a lot of opportunities afforded to those in more junior roles who were looking to expand their skills and move around in different groups. I ultimately had to leave to gain desired experience.

    Advice to Management

Promote from within rather than hiring from outside the company. Invest time and resources into all your employees and not just money.

I worked at Biogen full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good pay, benefit, big company resources
Used to be an excellent innovative company, people culture used to be amazing
    Location

    Cons

Corporate culture filled with red tape, nepotism, talent hindering, views employees as producers rather than human beings
Too many new processes overlapping with the old, taking forever to get thing done and through the system

    Advice to Management

Actually be clear and honest about the changes rather than just say so and keep silos casting a shadow across R&D

    Pros

Take on big challenges and meet unmet needs

    Cons

The culture over the last few years is heading in the wrong direction. Too many people are looking out for themselves, instead of working together.

    Advice to Management

Senior leader are not seen anymore. Past leaders would walk through the building and meet the people doing work. It now feels like big pharma
