I have been working at Bonobos full-time

    Pros

Not traditional retail and is a fun place to work. If you start as part-time growth is possible. A lot of great personalities work here. It’s a smaller company and getting noticed is easier.

    Cons

The company is currently closing stores so growth/job security isn’t likely. Pay is not competitive. At one point Bonobos was leading in compensation but that isn’t the case anymore. The only way you make a living is if you’re a manager and you’ll still be living paycheck to paycheck. They will put focus on the bonus structure but that is really hard to achieve during a global pandemic and customers have other priorities. Company preaches that employees need to take care of themselves. Encourage taking mental health days and if you’re sick don’t come in, however that applies to everyone but managers. During the pandemic sales and foot traffic have expectedly dropped and their idea to solve that is having stores put on events every month.

I have been working at Bonobos full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Bonobos has been and remains a great place to work. The people here genuinely care about each other, their own work product, and their colleagues' work product. It's a supportive environment, both from the top down and peer-to-peer. Ownership of work product is also encouraged, so there is accountability at all levels. All things considered, it's hard to imagine a substantially better place to work.

    Cons

The leadership team can, at times, struggle to make and then commit to decisions. It can be frustrating at times, but I feel the leadership team, which features a few new/newish members, is getting its feet under it and will be stronger going forward. It can be difficult to get promoted from the associate level, but once that progress is made, one receives more opportunities for upward mobility.
