I have been working at Bosch full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Decent pay, close to home.

    Cons

I have been employed there for over 6 years. Management says they care but they don’t.
High turnover, not enough people to run a line. Hence, loads of mandatory overtime, all the time.
Benefits have been cut to hourly employees, I can see more cuts coming.

    Advice to Management

Actually care, it cost nothing to smile, talk to your employees.
The hourly employees are the backbone of the company.
They are so impressed by the way the Japanese do things. They don’t understand that studying their way of management is a big part of that.

I worked at Bosch full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The co-workers at the facility as well as the customer I worked with on a daily basis were great! I couldn't haven't asked for a better team to be a part of.

    Cons

Some of the managers need to be replaced. My manager made it very clear who she really liked and who she didn't and it was never based on work performance. She kept people that she could socialize with and cut people who didn't interact with her much because they were busy actually working. Not only that but she gossiped about ALL of her employees to other employees in the facility. I honestly have NO idea how she has made it this far in the company but she is turning the place into a fun house rather than a professional environment.

This is also a company that has NO room for growth, so if you are looking to move up in a company this is not the company you want to work for.

    Advice to Management

Start paying attention to the employees who are NOT making mistakes and are continuing to not only do their jobs correctly but strive to do better.

I worked at Bosch full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Paychecks never bounced, 401K matching

    Cons

Management unresponsive when notified of racketeering/embezzlement scheme of a member of upper management. Was told to obey in scheme and when refused was accused of not being a team player.
Everyone I knew has finally left so MAYBE they've cleaned up their act, but I wouldn't hold my breathe.

    Advice to Management

Arrogance is not something to be proud of. Learn some humility.
