Pros

Liked the research boss. I met some good people. Good location.

Cons

Was not what I thought it would be. They expect a lot out of you then fire people on a whim. The owners were not very nice. They do not talk to anyone. Very arrogant. Not a fun place to work. other posts here say: "A flexible, relaxed, and interesting place ” - " Be competent and generally pleasant, and management will treat you fairly." - "Part-timer staff can turn over frequently. Can't expect to be promoted to full-time staff simply based on tenure. A lot of the full-time staff has been there for a long time, so that might be intimidating." - "“Great place, great people, great environment ” What a JOKE - ANY positive review here was clearly written by the management. NO employee writes that stuff. The owner wrote those and told us that. I would run from this company. Absolutely zero career opportunities. If you enjoy making the owners money, than do it. You will NOT be compensated properly. There are people working here that have been with the company almost 10 years and they still do not make a working wage. I know that's their problem.

Pros

- Some of the staff is nice - Open communication to ask questions/learn more - Easy work, can be very interesting for a curious mind, in the right setting

Cons

This was the worst job I've ever had. Some of the positive reviews list cons as "this work isn't for everyone" and "it can get monotonous." While that may be true, it's 100% the environment and the staff relations that make or break this job. There's a reason so many employees quit on a regular basis. What could've been a great experience was really awful for the following reasons: - There is really no introduction or staff connections; the office is depressing and creepy. Akin to a corporate nightmare. It's set up weird and nobody talks to each other, which has a huge effect on the mental health of employees. - Upper management doesn't have much regard for the employees. Everyone is seen as a number, and the quality of the work takes a back seat as long as you're hitting your goals (which is probably why the company has plateaued) - There are "teams" that don't really make much sense and have no sense of purpose, because everyone in research is essentially doing the same thing. - The company has no mission or greater purpose; it's essentially just a mix of Googling stuff and calling companies to bother them about information they'd rather not share so that they can be pestered by the BC clients. The lack of any company-wide mission or binding principle is probably a reason so many people leave, because there really is no sense of positive impact or community in the job. If you need money and are desperate, this can be a good transitional job, but I've had a far better and more enriching experience getting paid less to wash dishes. If you are passionate, ambitious, and don't want to be a numbers-driven robot doing meaningless work everyday of your life, I suggest you run in the other direction. -

I am sorry to hear you had a negative experience with us. While we do have some turnover, as every company does, a majority of our employees stay with us for 10 years or more. It’s unfortunate to hear that after nearly a year of working for the company and participating in company-wide meetings, department meetings, company lunches, group outings, team meetings, and one on one meetings with your manager that the company mission and purpose is still not clearly understood. It’s true – this kind of research is not for everyone, so we wish you the best and hope you find a position that makes you happy.

Pros

it was a job in between jobs. bad economy so i needed the work. met some decent people, research work was easy, copy and paste, click

Cons

very weird culture. some of the workers there need to try another company and see what it's like working for real people who actually care. there is this company bidclerk and all this company does is copy bidclerk. everything they do is bidclerk. we would go to meetings and bidclerk would come up. the owner had a login to bidclerk. there are no real ideas here, all they do is copy bidclerk. the entire website is a copy of bidclerk. i didn't even know what bidclerk was until i worked here. i do not want to know any more about bidclerk
