I worked at Butler Hospital (Less than a year)

    Pros

This facility is one the best places to take everything learned in a classroom, to bring it into the real work life. Everybody was friendly and willing to assist and clarify all aspects in the work place.

    Cons

The only downside to me personally was leaving the facility. I wished I had more time there and hoped to make a career with the wonderful people. I always wish the best of luck to all who work there.

    Pros

    Cons

Politics-CNE took over and is slowly replacing Butler Staff with CNE Staff.

    Pros

Butler is at the forefront of psychiatric care. There is great attention paid to safety for both patients and staff. There are many opportunities to get involved in committees for the betterment of the population we serve. Management often has a hands on style, getting involved in handling difficult situations

    Cons

Financial difficulties with the parent company "Care New England" has affected morale of staff detrimentally. At times safety seems compromised for the bottom line. Lack of 12 hour shifts, as all hospital jobs, you must work every other weekend an a rotation of holidays.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Butler Hospital full-time

    Pros

Butler Hospital USED to be the best place to work. The teamwork is second to none and the staff are the greatest. Now the staff seem more depressed than the patients.

    Cons

The CEOs are taking money away from patient care. The buildings are being neglected. All the great managers have left and the current leadership cannot be trusted. They are watching our hospital be destroyed and still collect a paycheck, No backbone and they don't care about the staff, the working conditions, the cuts in benefits, and the loss of excellence. Shame on you!

    Advice to Management

Do your job and make Butler great again.
