I worked at CEVA full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people to work with (Staff and Management) - dedicated, professional, hard-working.
Good mix of technologies (hardware, software)
Good work environment & benefits (good compensation, vacation, ESPP, etc..)
    Great place for talented engineers.

    Cons

Management wise - CEVA runs like a start-up and has to start growing up.
Managers are good people - but many lack management skills and proper training.
Too much politics and not enough policies/processes.
Overall, can be much more innovative and organized.
Company is not really growing and advancing (roughly the same size, same financials)
Be prepared to work a lot of hours.

    Advice to Management

Start hiring people with actual industry proven management and business-level skills and management/business training rather that promoting engineers to positions they have no training or real experience to do. Alternatively, focus on management development and implementing business processes.

    Pros

The job was consistent, no real room for growth due to the size of the contract. Management treated me well, I would work for them again.

    Cons

They needed to have a better succession manaent plan. I felt that I was qualified to go to the next level, but there wasn't really anything in place to facilitate that desire.

    Advice to Management

Better communication with regard to opportunities. I realize there's the company job board, but talent needs to be grown from within to ensure continuity.

    Stability.
    Compensation was good.

    Cons

No/little career opportunities (same management for the last 15 years)
Niche product - no growth (almost flat business, flat headcount)

I have been working at CEVA full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Guys are really great. The daily work is quite interesting with new projects keep coming. Management is very encouraging to try new frameworks and tools.

    Cons

Work is always under pressure. They keep promising the amount of releases will be smaller but it only gets bigger.

    Pros

The management, the Union chairman, every union rep., are friendly every employee are very nice to work with. And there's a lot of overtime

    Cons

Because of competing to other automotive companies, Ceva management are trying or starting to lay off a lot of employees

    Advice to Management

It's too stressful and pressure to do the work for two by one person due to layoff, I suggest the company to stop cutting down employees because instead of saving money for less pay, it will be a waist when employees are getting injured by rushing to do the job
