    Pros

Good people, laid back culture, good benefits, pays standard to industry, good management team.

    Cons

No Work life balance/outdated systems/business growth but the personnel has shrunk/ high expectations / no inventory/ family life is extremely sacrificed and it is expected as this is part of the culture.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees. BES survey is completed year after year yet very few changes.

I worked at CHEP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great benefits, PTO and good people

    Cons

No work life balance, leadership team lacks vision, implement no plans without giving the plan time to show benefits, some cut throat leaders, more ego than action in logistics & planning leadership at the time

    Advice to Management

Put your ego away and understand that your team works incredibly hard to get results and abusive management gets you no where. People give so much of their lives to their work and deserve to have you stand up for work life blance and treat them with care and respect.

I have been working at CHEP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    moderately competitive pay, decent benefits

    Cons

advancement based on "who you know" rather than skills/abilities in many departments, poor communication from Sr. leadership, aging technology, lots of "restructuring" and a growing amount of outsourcing

    Advice to Management

Start investing again in employee development and technology rather than worrying about the size of your bonuses / paychecks. Your "vision" means very little if you do not invest in the resources to make it happen.

    Pros

Direct managers appreciate the hard hours you put in.
Your coworkers are good people that are easy to get along with.

    Cons

Although direct management wants to show appreciation to their workforce upper management does not give them very much in order to do this.
The pay is hard to live off of.

    Advice to Management

Give the direct supervisors enough to show their workers that they are appreciated. It will pay off in the long run.

    Advice to Management
