Pros

Meeting people from all walks of life. Ability to affect people in personal ways through motivation and confidence-building strategies. Exciting outdoor work environment. Get paid to stay fit. Ability to be yourself and showcase unique personality. Self-Directed work environment. Very good team cohesion, for the most part. Good training on safety. Would recommend for young college students looking for a summer gig. In the beginning, it seems that management genuinely cares for your personal and professional development. Fun team to work with, overall.

Cons

Lack of upward mobility. Management comes across as playing “favorites”. Management has preconceptions or ideas of “the kind of” employees they are grooming for management positions and if your values and lifestyle don’t line up with theirs, you’re not considered for promotion, despite your seniority, commitment to the company and its mission, and over 40+ EXCELLENT reviews on Google, Yelp, and Trip Advisor. Staff tend to form “cliques” due to immaturity and example-setting by management. It’s 90% WHO you know and 10% WHAT you know. So, if you own a boat, take management fishing/diving if you want in on that circle. Quite a few co-worker romances that can interfere with or distract from professional work environment i.e., holding/cuddling each other on Polaris rides to top of course. Smh! *gag* Potential to be treated unfairly or held to different standards from counterparts. Despite culturally diverse team, a lot of misunderstanding and close-mindedness (bias) regarding people with different lifestyles, backgrounds, beliefs, sense of humor, world views, etc. is demonstrated which contributes to somewhat toxic work relationships.

Pros

There aren't any pros here.

Cons

- Micromanagement to the extreme - People "own" things and never let progress happen - Straight White Men's club in leadership. If you aren't part of the club, you don't stand a chance - Terminated due to having a personal life (I have the recording of the call where my boss literally says based on me having a personal life they don't believe I'm committed to my role) and taking care of my family, with no severance or warning - They hide behind their "CLIMB" mission but don't live it, and it's painfully obvious in how they treat people
