    Advice to Management

Implement and maintain a strategy rather than react to tactical anomalies.

    Pros

CMP management runs the business using lies , and watch dogs.HR runs the show-there is no fair employee treatment. Managers ans supervisors makes up for their on going mistakes by keeping workers at low pay , with no raises.

If you have any decency you should quit.
Stop abusing the hard working people.

    Pros

CMP has a lot of potential to be a good company where you can feel like you are contributing. The direction the company wants to go is a good one, but they have no idea how to get there.

    Cons

CMP is a small, family owned, manufacturing company. However, this means the people in executive management have no experience outside of the company. While their educational backgrounds are good, the lack of experience outside of that company is a serious shortfall. Communication between the operations team and sales team is horrible at best. It is not possible to have a decent production schedule when the schedule is being changed 8 times a day. One customer should not always take priority of others. This causes delay in ordering and creates a serious case of backlog.

    Advice to Management

Keep in mind that all customers are important. Changing promised delivery dates multiple times a day is frustrating at best for customers. Also, if you want a new department in place, be prepared to invest in the infrastructure to support that department. If you want to maximize the effectiveness of data collection and usage to make the best business decisions possible, realize that your data guys are crucial to the process. Most of all, you are only as fast as your slowest hardware. Infrastructure investment is worthwhile.

I have been working at CMP full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Welcoming atmosphere, flexible work hours in some positions, gym and fitness instruction on site, competitive wages, fast commute, cafeteria on site, group insurance

    Cons

During busy times, there may be more work than what can be done in a normal work day and management expects the same level of productivity with little or no support

    Advice to Management

Anticipate the need to hire additional personnel before the level of work increases beyond the employees' cababilities

I have been working at CMP full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Some of the people are a joy to work with. Easy to get hired since no experience required.

    Cons

Poor management from the top to the floor level. Safety hazards throughout the entire building. Cut throat environment with management. Filthy bathrooms. Poor planning leads to majority of jobs being rushed at the last minute and using scare tactics to force employees to do overtime. Supervisors leave in the middle of shifts to get coffee, yet operators get spoken to if they come back 2 minutes late from break. No air conditioning when it's boiling in the summer leading to some employees getting sick. Poor ventilation.

    Advice to Management

Equality throughout the company. Work on planning your jobs properly instead of sitting in your office on Facebook and YouTube. Take responsibility for your shortcomings instead of pushing it on the next person to save your own tail. Value your employees instead of mocking them behind their backs.

I have been working at CMP full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Advice to Management

Former les cadres sur les outils de gestions de projet, d'amélioration continue (Lean master black belt) et l'intelligence artificielle.
    Implantation d'un nouveau ERP.
