      Terrible work environment

      Pros

      Co-workers are intelligent, well rounded people for the most part. Working remotely when necessary is acceptable (bad weather, personal).

      Cons

      Management team is indecisive, paranoid and terrible communicators. The CEO is paranoid, undermining and just plain sneaky. Any feedback other than good is taken personally and used against their employees. Turnover is extremely high due to all these factors. Other divisions or sister companies don't really want to deal with the New York office, but have no choice.

      Pros

      The new company Caladrius, formally NeoStem, are horrible people!! The original staff from California Stem Cell are AWESOME. Amazingly intelligent, fun and friendly staff - they work extremely hard and are incredibly talented. All those original staff from CSC are very dedicated to finding a cure to cancer. I had wonderful work experience with these original staff, we were like an extended family and it was a very caring work environment.

      Cons

      The new company Caladrius, formally NeoStem, are terrible. They purchased California Stem Cell in 2014 and since then have dragged the company down fast (just look at their stock price). They just laid off a huge amount of staff. They have cameras in the Irvine kitchen to spy on the staff from New York, forget about happy hour on a Friday - no alcohol allowed. They spy on your email and have no morals. It went from being California Stem Cell - the best company to work for, to Caladrius/ NeoStem, the worst company ever.

      Pros

      Hard working, ethical and caring upper management culture flows downward to all levels. Very smart, team oriented people everywhere!

      Cons

      No summer Fridays, but who knows that could change.
