Pros

There are no pros in this company but only the work-life balance and a spacious cafeteria.

Cons

There are lots of cons. 1. Their technical head or directors don't have a vision about the product from Norway and just want to make microservices-based products. 2. 6-7 years experienced people are development managers and directors in this company who don't know what a digital solution looks like. 3. Their technical leads who are born and brought up here don't let other leads to settle and respect their opinions. 4. Their so-called technical Leads gets insulted by an interviewee in an interview, which means they don't know technology and product development. 5. Their 6 years experienced Dev manager doesnot know his roles and responsibilities. his only job is to irritate his team members. 6. They have a director in Norway who wants new people to give suggestions and if they give then he does not respect them. 7. Irony is they are using the latest tools and technologies but unfortunately they don't know how to use them. 8. Main motive of interns working here is to learn these tools on company money and switch the job. 9. Their Dev managers and directors play cricket inside office premises during office hours without bothering about official work.(So it may be pro for few). So if you are still joining this company after reading all these points, better be careful.

On the onset, I would like to thank you for your time and feedback that you have shared with us. It is very insightful, and we will consider it to make ourselves better. As a growing organisation, our vision is to develop the business along with the development of our employees. We develop our employees for the next role and help them to go up the ladder to take more challenging roles within the organisation. All we ask for is a long-term commitment and a significant contribution from our employees. I am proud that many young talents are given managerial positions and a lot of responsibility sooner than in many other organisations. Below are my comments to some of the concerns that you have raised in your feedback. Building a micro services-based product is our long-term goal to ensure that we can deliver maximum business value with highest quality and speed. We are doing this for our customers and not to satisfy the ambitions of any individual in our organisation. We take pride in our people and the product that they have built. We regularly invite ideas from our employees. The ideas which hold merit and are feasible business solutions to our problems, are implemented. We are a growing organisation and we have always believed in providing the best learning and growing opportunity to our people. Yes, I do agree that some people acquire the knowledge with us and use them in other organisations. However, this is how the cycle moves in the industry, we lose some to other organisations and we gain some from other organisations. We encourage our employees to use their break time during office hours to unwind the way they like to; whether reading books, or listening to music, or playing cricket. We put our trust on the employees’ choices and believe those choices are not affecting our deliverables. Trust is one of our core values. Having said all that, I do believe you had some bad experiences while working with us. However, I wish you had connected with me to share your feedback while you were working with us, so we could have worked together to resolve your concerns. As you know, I am always open to dialogue with colleagues and customers. Nevertheless, I wish you all the best for your future endeavours and thanks again for sharing your feedback.

Culture is good People are good Management listens to you

Cons

Salary is very less You will never learn anything new while working here 5 years in catalystone is literally equal to 2 years outside in any other company You will end up doing same kind of work for your whole life You will never be satisfied with kind of work you do in here. Don't join if you have any experience and you don't wanna kill your skills

Dear colleague, Thanks for your input. As you know, since I often explain this in all-hands meetings, we benchmark our salaries with other similar companies in the Tricity region. Our benchmarks so far have shown that we have competitive salaries. I understand that you can get higher salary if you move to Delhi or Bangalore, but remember that the cost of living is much higher and the lifestyle is much more hectic in those cities. We have this time asked all employees to give input on the benchmark process, and we are working on a new benchmark based on this input. I think that your idea on using more of our budget on salaries than on annual trips is a good one. However, we need to keep on prioritising activities that create a good team spirit, and provide opportunities for cross-team and cross-culture exposure. If you are a developer with one year experience, you have just started to learn. Your learning will increase exponentially as you do more coding and solve more complex tasks (that you will get with more experience). Learning is not only a question of learning new technologies all the time, but even more about learning to solve increasingly complex tasks in an increasingly simpler and better way. New technologies are easy to learn, but solving complex issues in the simplest possible way requires a lot of wisdom. Further, as you know, we are going through a technology shift and there are new technologies and frameworks to be learned. One of the examples is the Angular training we have started in order to prepare for a shift to that technology. Many other major changes are coming in the next months. I would claim that there are few other companies where you would be able to learn more in the coming years than here due to the big tech changes. Since you have only been working for a year here, you have more than enough to learn irrespective of the technology shifts and the new technologies that we are implementing. We have also recruited many new talents with several years of experience from other companies and our recruitment strategy is to recruit many more experienced colleagues. We would not be able to recruit experienced talents if our salaries were not competitive. Thanks again for your input. I hope my response helps you understand this better from an overall perspective. Pros

This company is good for those who want comfortable life and don't want career growth. If you have the skills to work less and show more, can nod with everything mangers say, are ok with making your resumes jokes by being TLs in just 2 years, be their guests.

Cons

For experienced people, this is definitely not a company worth looking for. In name of openness , they promote unprofessional behaviors. Sometimes even management is not sure about what they want from employees. If you are not close to someone in higher management, you will be ignored and your hard work doesn't matter. They follow nepotism very seriously. Every value and process exist in air, certainly not in reality.

I am sorry to read that you had a bad experience. I as the CEO am always open for input from anyone in the company and many employees give me feedback in addition to giving feedback to their managers. I observe that employees who have been with oss for many years add more and more value as they learn more. Actually, we care less about how many years of experience you have and more about the job you do and the value you add. I do not think that people get better by just spending more years at work. It is a lot about each individual's attitude. Hence, we recruit for attitude and train for skills. Thanks anyways for you input and I wish you luck in your career.
