I have been working at Chicken Express part-time

    Pros

Working at Chicken Express as a cashier helped me with my communication skills and with patience. It also helped me figure out that I like working with new people that I never expected to meet.

    Cons

When customers are unhappy with their food or wait time on food, they tend to yell at me and call me stupid even though I had nothing to do with the food because I'm not anywhere near the food area.

    Advice to Management

I don't have any advice to management other than to say teach new employees how to do each part of work they do up there. Like if you hire someone as a cashier but need help on backups try to teach them that in the first 90 they are there. Teach them dish, pack line, orders, etc. So when you need them to help on a different job they will already know how to help.

I have been working at Chicken Express full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Easy to manage the mostly high school students that work here. A decent pay rate for entry management positions.

    Cons

Inconsistent scheduling. Mandatory double shifts, with no overtime. Hard to keep a decent crew with all the better opportunities Durant has for people 18+.

I have been working at Chicken Express part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A very easy job to do and have, and makes a great first job to have. Pay raises come fast after the first month.

    Cons

Slow during summer so you lose hours. Hard to move up the ladder. You smell like chicken and feel disgusting after every shift.

I worked at Chicken Express (More than a year)

    Pros

Decent raises, fun job, it has a very welcoming environment. Plus, you can make a decent amount in tips if you work the drive thru.

    Cons

It's fast food. The smell is bad, the pay isn't good enough, and the customers drive you up the walls crazy every day

    Advice to Management

do more drug tests, and rate people on how well they work, not on how much you like them.
